I can't believe how far this anime has come from it's first episode. The three episode rule is terrible cause you miss out on hidden gems like this which use the first few episodes to not rush into the story, but make a good foundation for it to begin. I love the sheer amount of development almost every character has gotten, how it incorporates different settings rather than one fixed training area, and how all of the characters actually feel real with real problems and attitudes.

The episode was good.
I could not help but cry in part with Shun near this big tree.

And I just love the "realism" and harsh reality of horse racing last episode and Shun losing his Gary Stu ability. Wow. Also, that spoiled girl is just annoying.

She is 12. Have you lost a pet at that age? There are grown-ups who act just like she did when reacting to a sudden loss. Of course it's horrible what happened to Shun too and, yes, she was unfair to him with all she said but she was not in her right mind at that moment.

Best and most enjoyable arc in my opinion. Really like shun and the horses ❤
